Human Trafficking in the Southern Tier

  • Congregation Kol Ami 1008 West Water Street Elmira, NY 14905 USA (map)

The series of workshops on Human Trafficking continues on Sunday, February 10, at 2:00 p.m. This session will include a documentary, Nefarious.  This film covers a national and worldwide view of the facts and problems of human trafficking. It is informative and well done. After the film, we can break and have snacks.  Staff from the Potter’s Hands Foundation and Catholic Charities who work with trafficking victims will present local details about the problems in our area. They have been asked to use about 15 to 20 minutes and then answer any questions.

The third Sunday, on March 10, will offer the law enforcement view of human trafficking followed by a look at public policy and advocacy guided by Kathy Dubel of Catholic Charities.
