Yonah Jeremy Bob to Speak on The Abraham Accords
and Israel's Shifting Middle East Landscape
Sunday, October 26th 2 pm
In person or on Zoom
(Pre-registration and ID required)
Join us as author and journalist Yonah Jeremy Bob returns as the 2025 Yachad speaker. Previously, he enlightened us on Israel's response to the Iranian nuclear program.
This year, Yonah will turn his attention to the Abraham Accords, the historic agreements signed in 2020 that established formal diplomatic relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, later joined by Morocco and Sudan. The accords opened unprecedented opportunities for trade, tourism, cultural exchange, and security cooperation, while signaling a major shift in Middle East diplomacy.
However, the promise of the Accords is being tested by today's rapidly changing realities. From the ongoing war in Gaza and the plight of Israeli hostages to escalating conflict with Iran and the recent attack on Hamas in Qatar, events on the ground are reshaping the goals and challenges of the Accords.
The presentation will examine how these developments are impacting Israel's regional relationships, the future of the Abraham Accords, and the broader pursuit of stability in the Middle East.
Please join us for this fascinating speaker on this complicated topic.
Refreshments will be served after the presentation
